That's better than 74 channels, but is still nowhere close to 195 channels. Down South in Richmond, Virginia I would get 76 channels. Price Isn't EverythingYou may be thinking that the price difference between the two is pretty significant, but that Satelite makes up for it with equipment and installation costs. Wrong again. When you sign up with Direct TV all the necessary equipment is free. This equipment is installed by professional technicians for free. You are given a free equipment upgrade of either a DVR (Digital Video Recorder) or a HD (High Definition) receiver. You get to choose which one you want. Some Cable providers offer this equipment for free if you are a new customer while some will charge you more money for it. Another incentive for going with Satelite is you can have four receivers installed in four rooms. This allows you to watch four different shows in four different rooms at the same time. Guess what? This is also free for new customers. Take into account that Direct TV has gotten a higher customer satisfaction rating than you know who for six years running and your choice should be pretty easy.
